so small and cute.

blah. still nothin interesting happening here. all i wanna do is cook food and hang out with shaun and go out for some cocktails once in awhile. feels good getting older. i do plan on going to sf some time in october, so i may have to put getting older on hold for a sec and party my pants off. oh, and eat food!

Sometimes I think I want to go to cooking school. I watch the Food Network way too much and I also enjoy cooking an awful lot. If only I could get loans. Although, I have never worked in a restaurant before, I've heard it sucks all around.

Shaun and I are taking a little vacation to San Diego at the beginning of next month. I am excited. I am also excited for kitten!!!!!!

Yeah, it's almost 90 after 7pm. I did not know it got in the triple digits up here. I can't say I'm too stoked on it. It's like too hot to eat. I have noticed lately that I don't have any interest in eating when it's so hot, that's weird.

Hightower's coming back on Monday, yay! A little SF in PDX is nice from time to time.

The other day I was wondering if birds peed. I googled it. The first answer I found said "the pee is in the poo". I found this very funny, and also very straightforward. I was satisfied with this answer.

kitten countdown: 7 weeks. shaun's mom's cat just had kittens. orange kittens. i cannot wait. ORANGE KITTENS! i didn't really want a kitten, i had a young adult cat in mind, but, i can't complain. i want it already! i feel like i just found out i was pregnant, if i were to want a kid.

portland is hot. and it doesn't get dark here until like 930.

Friday night we went to the strip club "Acropolis" where they have nasty looking strippers and decent cheap steak. I remember I went there 5 or more years ago, the first time I visited, it was just like I remembered it, minus the smoking this time though. Saturday night we went to a movie about black metal, it was pretty good. Sunday I went to a brunch place with bottomless mimosas. Also went out Monday and Tuesday. Having out of town guests is very tiring. I am ready for many naps. Also, I just heard the loudest thunder ever.

jeez, i have not said anything here for a bit. i still have nothing to say really. i've been in portland for over 3 months, it's just now kinda sinking in that i moved to a different state. i was in some weird transitionary period before, but now i'm feeling more settled. i am also now seeing just how miserable i was in san francisco, it's weird how sometimes you cannot see these things til it's over.
