Friday night we went to the strip club "Acropolis" where they have nasty looking strippers and decent cheap steak. I remember I went there 5 or more years ago, the first time I visited, it was just like I remembered it, minus the smoking this time though. Saturday night we went to a movie about black metal, it was pretty good. Sunday I went to a brunch place with bottomless mimosas. Also went out Monday and Tuesday. Having out of town guests is very tiring. I am ready for many naps. Also, I just heard the loudest thunder ever.

i want to call the cops on my neighbors down the driveway. i think they sell drugs, there's always random people coming and going and underage kids outside drinking. but mostly i just want to call the cops on them cause they are annoying hippies/little white hip hop kids, i don't really give a shit if they're selling drugs. i just hate seeing them when i go to the store.

we also discovered last week that our front door doesn't lock. it locks from the inside and appears to be locked from the outside if you turn the knob...but, if you push the door, it opens! yay! luckily we have a deadbolt that we weren't using cause it didn't seem to be necessary. now we use it, of course. i have to say, i would not feel safe living here alone, but i feel fine having shaun around. so, that's my neighborhood update for the month.

our apartment is so dark and cold. it's hardwood floors and empty as shit. i'm wearing 3 layers plus gloves right now. i don't bother turning the heat on, since it's electric and doesn't seem to help much at all. but, i am happy! it's been one month now, one month of new state and new boyfriend. i like these things.

still not much to report, we finally got a couch and a table, so i'm using them now. our living room is sorta big and empty still though, needs like 2 more couches and a tv maybe. we don't have cable though, so there's not much point in getting a tv. but, it's starting to feel more home-like, so that's good. i feel like i have tonsillitis or something, it kinda sucks and worries me, i don't have insurance, i may look into that soon. i don't really plan on getting a job any time soon.

vegas so far: awesome.

my plane was half an hour early, which is just weird. my mom became bffs with our filipino cab driver, then some more with the hotel staff. she is very friendly, not much like me. our hotel is totally nice, most comfortable bed i've ever slept in, big balcony, a hot tub, huge shower and a tv in the bathroom. lots of other stuff too, i can't figure out how to work the tv in here, so, f it.

ate steak and mashed potatoes last night, with some margaritas, then played some slots and didn't do horribly. mostly just racked up a bunch of free beers. it's hot here, duh, but we don't really like to go outside much.

my mom wakes up early. 7am. so, i'm up. i guess we'll eat soon. i guess i should just start work, since i'm awake. more time for fun stuff later that way. byeeeeeeee.

i bought a ticket to portland. it's kinda hard to decide how long to stay for, when you have no real plans. so, i went with 3 nights. seems good, yeah? some friends from here will be there at the same time, so i figured, may as well. i'll figure out the details later.

pbr with lemon is good. it makes a nice breakfast, when paired with ice cream. i'm going to get a burrito later and take it to pops and drink a margarita. then i'm going to go home and work. i wish it was more summer-like out. this weather is so not my favorite.
